May Harvest

Posted on Updated on

Today we had a beautiful harvest in the mid-May sun. We had so much fun building community, planting some starts and seeds, harvesting, and eating a meal together. We pulled up the last of the spring spinach (which was going to seed in this sun), plus some mesclun mix and other lettuces, as well as some leeks and elephant garlic. We also have a nice crop of herbs, so I picked a couple kinds of sage, chives, and oregano for this week’s cooking.

We planted some kale, brussels sprouts, cabbage, eggplant, more tomato, and zucchini starts. We also planted some dill, thyme, acorn squash, and some more cucumbers from seed.
